Getting started

How do I get started?

Fill in our short enquiry form, including a few safety questions. Our team will call you within 2 working days and book your online consultation with our doctor.

Do I need a GP referral?

No. You can enquire directly.

Who decides if I can have treatment?

Our in-house, IMC-registered doctor. They review your screening answers and health history, then prescribe your treatment if it's right for you.

How quickly will I hear back?

We aim to reply to every enquiry within 2 working days.

Your treatment

What is TMS?

Transcranial magnetic stimulation uses gentle magnetic pulses to stimulate the area of the brain linked to mood, stress and emotional balance. We use EXOMIND by BTL, a non-invasive device.

How long is a session, and how many will I need?

Each session takes around 25 minutes. A full course runs over 6 weeks, and your doctor will prescribe the number of sessions that suits you.

Is there any downtime?

None. You can drive, work and carry on with your day straight after a session.

When might I notice a difference?

Everyone is different. Your progress questionnaires help you and our team see how your sleep, mood and stress are changing over the course.

Does the effect last?

Neuroplastic changes build for up to six months after treatment. Many people choose to schedule booster sessions twice a year, much like a dental clean or a skin peel.

Safety & comfort

Who can't have TMS?

Anyone who can't have an MRI scan, including people with metal implants in or near the head, pacemakers or implanted stimulators. It's also not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for people with epilepsy or a history of seizures. Dental fillings, braces and bridges are fine.

Does it hurt?

It shouldn't. Most people feel a light tapping or tingling on the scalp. Some notice a mild headache or scalp discomfort in early sessions, which usually eases. The settings can be adjusted at any time.

Is it noisy?

The device makes a clicking sound, so we'll give you earplugs to wear during your session.

Can I keep taking my medication?

Usually, yes. Tell our doctor about everything you take, including any changes in the last month, and they'll advise you.
